Reducing Trigger Pull on Air Guns

This mod will help reduce the trigger pull on most of your air guns.

Purpose: After modifying your SuperMaxx guns (does not include SuperMaxx 250, 350, and not tested on the 3000) you may find that the trigger is rather difficult to pull.  This mod's purpose is to fix all that.  The idea is to replace the spring with a segment of the shell from a Bic Round Stic Pen.  This mod may also work on some other air guns. I have this mod on my sister's 750, both my 1500s, and my 5000 and it works great!

***This mod is confirmed to work on the SuperMaxx 750, 1500, and 5000 on the new and old versions.***

Materials: 1 Bic Pen (the kind show here the kind show here )

1 REALLY skinny and round file

                1 Hacksaw

                1 ruler

1 pair of scissors OR utility knife

Procedure:

1) Open up your Supermaxx gun.  Locate the metal rod that is pulled to release air from the air tank.  There should be a spring on that rod.  Locate the spring.

2) Measure the length of the spring in its relaxed position.

3) Remove the spring.

4) Open up your Bic Pen and remove the internals leaving you with just the shell.

5) Take the hacksaw and saw the shell of the bic pen to the length of the old spring in its relaxed position.

6) Take your file and smooth the ends of the segment of the Bic Pen shell.

7) Using the skinny file, file out the inside of the shell so that the thickness of the shell is reduced.

8) *Note if you have a SuperMaxx 5000 skip this step and continue to step 9.*  Using the scissors or utility knife cut a straight slit LENGTHWISE across the shell of the pen.  Do not cut the shell in half.  If you did it right you should be able to slip the shell onto the metal rod.

9) Slip the shell of the pen over the rod into the position that the spring used to be in.  If the inner diameter isn't wide enough then redo step 7.

10) Use a small piece of duct tape to tape up the slit you made in the pen shell in step 8).

11) Connect the original trigger to the Bic pen in the same way that the original trigger connected to the spring.

12) Close up the gun.

13) Have fun with your new weapon of foamy destruction.

This is what your Bic trigger assembly should look like.
