Even the best of Nerfers find themselves in situations where an enemy catches
him/her offguard and is pointing a Powerclip at them from 10 feet away. So what do you do if you find yourself in such
a situation? Well you dodge! Here are some tips on dodging:
1. If you are behind some good cover then simply drop to the
ground and land on hands and knees. NEVER take a dive unless you have to. If you screw up you'll be on the ground
and helpless for a split second.
2. If you are in the open and the enemy is aiming a non-automatic
weapon at you then try to strafe to the side well ducking.
3. If you are in the open and an enemy within 10 feet of you
shoots an automatic at you then you may have to dive. If you do dive then try to move in as many directions simultaneously
as possible. Dive down, forward/back, and to the left, right. I find diving forward and a combination of other
directions work best because when you dive forward and down simultaneously your enemy often aims high. When you land,
try to land belly down on your thighs (not knees) with your forearms and open palms supporting your upper body. REMEMBER
TO KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!
4. While diving you may want to shoot at the enemy. Not
only will it bring you the chance of hitting your enemy, it will more importantly cause your enemy to stop shooting and dodge.
Try not to waste your ammo on mid air shots (a quick burst using an automatic should suffice) since you can't aim
too well and the purpose is not to kill your enemy. It's to stop him from shooting and dodge for a split second so you
can get up and shoot him or get away.
5. When diving try to land on your backside or your shoulder
and roll. Your neck and head should never touch the ground When you get good at this try to roll onto your feet
so you can dive, roll, and be back on your feet in one smooth motion.
