Purpose: To Make
your SM 1500 shoot mega stefans, zeros, and stock micros and increase the maximum range.
Materials: -Your
SM 1500 (New or Old)
-24 inches of 1/2 in. Sched 40 PVC
-1 Hot glue gun
-Glue stick
-Screw Drivers of all sorts
-1 hacksaw
-1 file or dremel
-
Plumber's Goop
Procedure:
1) Open up your SM 1500. If
it has an orange cap over the pump shaft and the rear then pry them off using a screwdriver as a lever.
2) Take out the plunger.
3) Use a hot glue gun to plug the
hole at the end of the plunger.
4) Let the glue on the plunger dry
by setting it aside for now.
5) Take off the rotating, red barrel
assembly.
6) There are two small
screws on the inside of the red barrel assembly. You'll have to rotate the barrels until you can see them. Once
you do unscrew them.
7) Once you unscrew those two small
screws you should be able to slip off the black cover on the 4-barrel assembly. Slip it off and set the black cover
aside for now.
8) You will see an indentation or
groove about 1/3 of the way up each barrel. Snap the barrels off at that point. An air restrictor and a spring
should come out of each. You may discard these.
9)Now take your hacksaw and saw
off the remaining stubs of the barrels. DO NOT SAW THROUGH THE CENTER POST!!!
If you do you will ruin your SM 1500's 4 barrel assembly. Try to cut the barrels off as smoothly and evenly as possible.
10) Now take your dremel or file
and smooth the place where the barrels were.
11) Clean the 4-barrel assembly
of the plastic shavings. If you put it under tap water dry it immediately after.
12) Now cut your PVC into four pieces
that are 5-6 inches long.
13) File or dremel the ends of the
PVC.
14) Wash away the plastic shavings
from the PVC and dry them out.
15) Put the plastic, black cover
back over the 4-barrel assembly and screw the screws back in. Now it should look like it did before only without the
barrels.
16) Now take Plumber's Goop and
glue the PVC pipes onto the 4-barrel assembly in the place where you sawed off the original barrels.
17) Now set your 4 barrel assembly
with PVC pipes in a VERTICAL position and let it dry for 24 hours. You should make sure it stays vertically so the glue
doesn't plug up the barrel. I used an old shoe box to keep it upright.
18) Reassemble your SM 1500 (don't
forget your plunger).
19) Conquer your enemies!
*WARNING: DO NOT PUMP OVER 4 TIMES OR YOUR SM 1500'S AIR TANK MAY RUPTURE!!!*
